Terms of Service
By using 2FA auth you agree to these terms. They are intentionally short and written in plain language.
The service
2FA auth is a free, client-side web tool that generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTP) from a Base32 secret you supply. It is offered at no cost and with no account.
Acceptable use
- Only enter secret keys you are authorized to use.
- Do not use 2FA auth to access accounts that don't belong to you.
- Do not attempt to attack, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service.
No warranty
2FA auth is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the generated codes will be accepted by any particular service, that the site will be uninterrupted, or that it will be free of bugs.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of 2FA auth are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service, including but not limited to account lockouts, lost data, or security incidents.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your TOTP secrets and for the security of the accounts they protect. Treat your secret keys with the same care as your passwords.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of 2FA auth after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
